When Lawn Pro was founded in 1973, it was the first and only locally owned lawn care service company in southern Minnesota. Founder and President, Gene B. Horning of Mapleton, MN saw the need for a lawn and tree service company that would deliver and apply products for the consumer.

Lawn Pro has grown in size and geographical coverage, with 15 employees now delivering service over and 80 mile radius. We have constantly added new and different products and services, in a continuing effort to provide the latest in technology and quality.

Our services now include lawn weed and feed maintenance, core aeration and seeding, along with lawn and yard insect and disease protection. Lawn Pro's Tree and Shrub division provides plant fertilization, plus insect and disease control, including Emerald Ash Borer protection.

Fully licensed and insured, Lawn Pro is your experienced, professional yard care choice, where service and quality always come first.

What to expect

Whether you're a returning customer or a new one we will establish what your lawn care needs are. It is a partnership we don't take lightly. Our licensed technicians go through yearly training so they can better provide you with the knowledge of our procedures when it comes to lawn services and tree/shrub care. Timely applications of superior products will give you a lawn we can both be proud of.

Our team

We started LawnPro in 1973 and have had the pleasure of working with great women and men who work very hard to provide you with the best lawn care service over the years. The best part of our team is the years of experience we have together working in beautiful southern Minnesota. Currently our veteran technician Don has 28 years of dedicated service and we also have 4 individuals who have passed the 10 years of service mark. Ronda and Darla work very hard to keep our office running and have a total of over 50 years working together. As we grow and add new team members, we continue to pass along our knowledge so we can strive to be the best.
